Revolution Velo Coaching was born out of a desire to maximise every second spent training on and off the bike. A lot of us are time poor and the uniqueness of our individual lifestyles make it impossible for an off the shelf training package to fully enable us to reach our performance potential.
That is why at Revolution Velo Coaching we work with our athletes, taking account of their own specific circumstances, to build a truly bespoke training plan with clear goals and objectives.
All of our coaching packages crucially include individual contact with a coach, which is essential to ensuring Revolution Velo Coaching fulfills its promise to transform the training of those we work with. Finally, all of our coaching packages use the software Training Peaks, so that we can collect data to conduct in-depth analysis and evaluation of the workouts completed by our athletes.
No matter what coaching package an athlete is on, they will receive comprehensive feedback from their coach regarding their performance, and this feedback will be utilised to optimise their training plan moving forwards.

Meet The Team
Head of Performance - Calum O'Connor
Calum grew up just south of Manchester on the edge of the Peak District, an excellent place to get the bug for cycling. An accomplished athlete and cyclist, Calum has over 20 years experience racing on the road in both the UK and France.
After representing the University of Edinburgh in cycling, Calum joined the Royal Navy and continued his passion for racing with the Royal Navy Cycling Team. During his time flying helicopters, Calum honed his interest in training and fitness and later made the decision to move to France to continue racing. Calum has since enjoyed a number of very successful seasons as an Elite racer in France winning on the National stage and taking podiums at the Coupe de France. In 2024 he will continue to represent Perigueux Dordogne, working towards the team's objective of winning the French Cup and aiming to give a solid account of himself across the Elite calendar. When the weather changes and the season comes to an end, Calum is also an active Zwift member. Currently representing Wahoo Le Col at the top of e-cycling in the Zwift Elite Grand Prix. He also enjoys some Zwift Racing League and longer Zwift rides to keep the legs ticking over in preparation for Spring. Calum is a Level 3 Cycling coach and a member of the Association of British Cycling Coaches. By his own admission, Calum is a bit of a data geek and has a keen interest in delving deep into the numbers to get the most from those he coaches. After working with a female athlete, who was coming back from serious injury, it became apparent to Calum that the gulf in care and attention to female training was vast. Calum hopes to, in some small part, help to reduce this gender gap and is an advocate of using the power of the menstrual cycle to aid his female athletes in reaching their true potential. |
