Why Can't I just Buy A Plan?
We know that on many websites you can simply ‘sign up’ or buy a ‘personalised’ training plan right away - no questions asked! While this could be appealing to some, we think it’s a bit like getting married on the first date and that we should get to know each other a bit better before we fully commit. That way if you choose to part with your hard-earned cash, you know exactly what your plan entails and what we can expect from each other over the coming months.
How many hours a week do I have to commit to training?
This entirely depends on you, your individual circumstances and your goals. We understand that striking an appropriate work/life balance is essential for every one of our athletes and that most of us are time poor. You and your coach will work together to create a bespoke solution that suits your current lifestyle. Whether you have hardly any time to train or 20+ hours a week, we can help you to achieve your goals in a way that works for you.
Do I need to buy a Power meter and Heart Rate Monitor in order to be coached?
No, not at all! An effective and bespoke training plan can be created and achieved using very basic equipment and a perceived effort scale. That being said, the more data we are able to collect and interrogate during your workouts the more complete our analysis becomes. Your coach will talk about your training data in more detail during your first free consultation.
I'm not Planning on Racing or riding a big event, is a coach still for me?
In short, yes! A coach isn’t just for those who have their sights set on competing. At the most vital level a coach is someone you trust and who enables you to reach your goals. These might be in the form of competitive racing, but can also be positive lifestyle changes, weight management, or fitness improvement.
What Happens after I fill in a contact Form?
After you’ve filled in and sent your contact form, we will invite you to answer some more in-depth questions about your aspirations. We will then arrange an individual consultation free of charge, this is so we can discuss in detail your goals and objectives and how we can best support you as an athlete.
How does online Coaching actually work?
If you decide you want to know more about being coached, we will arrange a free of charge individual consultation to discuss in detail your goals and objectives and how we can best support you as an athlete. With the information discussed in this chat, your coach will build a bespoke training plan which will be provided to you via an online coaching platform called Training Peaks (TP). Once you have completed your workouts these will be uploaded to TP, where you and your coach will have the chance to provide feedback on your sessions. Subsequent analysis and adjustments of your personal plan will be made by your coach and appropriate feedback and direction given in accordance with the coaching package you have selected. It may seem a lot to take in right now, but don’t worry your coach will be on hand to help guide you through the process at all times.
What are the differences in coaching Package options?
In basic terms, the differences lie in how much time your coach spends analysing your workout data on a daily or weekly basis. Regardless of which coaching package you choose, we guarantee the same care and attention is applied to the creation of each bespoke training solution.
How long do i have to commit for?
We are confident that once you have worked with your coach to create a bespoke training solution, you’ll never want to leave us – that’s why we only ask for 30 day’s notice should you decide to move on. During this time, your coach will work with you to help transition you from our services and you will still have access to your training plan before we say our final farewells.
